"My Blue Tears" Sheet Music

This 2-page spread comes from the March, 1972 issue of "Country & Western Hit Parade" magazine.

American Songwriter Article 1990

Here's an article from a 1990 issue of "American Songwriter." She briefly discusses "White Limozeen," but the focus of the article is songwriting in general.

Rainbow Press Kit

Here are scans of the small press kit that was sent out, heralding the debut of Dolly's pop album "Rainbow" (which inexplicably turned out to be one of her biggest flops).

Since the album will most likely never come back in print, I have no qualms about pointing out that it can be downloaded here (though you'll need a program like winrar that's capable of unpacking rar files).

50 Years of Country Music ad

I know I've seen this elsewhere on the net, but here it is again. This is an ad sheet for the TV-Special "50 Years of Country Music," which was for use in magazines and newspapers. Click for a much larger view.

Best Little Whorehouse Photos

Here's large scans of 21 of the press photos for THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS. Yes, I've included photos that Dolly doesn't appear in, but there were other people involved with the film too! I had all of the photos here on blogger, but I couldn't seem to get the layout to look correct, so I've prepared a zip file with all of the pics that you can download right here (or by clicking the photo below).

I'll get the text press kit up later (probably in installments) because it's a whopping 63 pages!

Welcome & Blue Valley Songbird

Welcome! I have tons & tons & tons of obscure and rare Dolly Parton related memorabilia, and was looking for a way to share it with the online community. I've tried building websites, but that's a royal pain, so I decided to share stuff via blogger.

I plan to share lots of obscure photos (like this one from BLUE VALLEY SONGBIRD with John Terry & Billy Dean), vintage magazine articles, press kits, etc -- in other words, photos galore. You'll probably also find some rare audio & video from time to time. I've got other blogs, and I know that trying to organize them is a nightmare, so rely on post labels (below and in the bar to the right) and titles to navigate.

And since I've started with BVS, here's an mp3 of the unreleased duet with Billy Dean from the film, "We Might Be In Love." And here's four more on-set photos from the film from an old issue of Country Weekly:
