Straight Talk Slug Sheet

Ever wonder how they make those newspaper ads for movies (like the NINE TO FIVE one below)? They're made by arranging elements found on slug sheets. As you can see parts of the big sheet were used, and the smaller pic came from a different slug sheet.

Rainbow Press Kit

Here are scans of the small press kit that was sent out, heralding the debut of Dolly's pop album "Rainbow" (which inexplicably turned out to be one of her biggest flops).

Since the album will most likely never come back in print, I have no qualms about pointing out that it can be downloaded here (though you'll need a program like winrar that's capable of unpacking rar files).

50 Years of Country Music ad

I know I've seen this elsewhere on the net, but here it is again. This is an ad sheet for the TV-Special "50 Years of Country Music," which was for use in magazines and newspapers. Click for a much larger view.

Best Little Whorehouse Photos

Here's large scans of 21 of the press photos for THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS. Yes, I've included photos that Dolly doesn't appear in, but there were other people involved with the film too! I had all of the photos here on blogger, but I couldn't seem to get the layout to look correct, so I've prepared a zip file with all of the pics that you can download right here (or by clicking the photo below).

I'll get the text press kit up later (probably in installments) because it's a whopping 63 pages!
